This model has the 2.5 litre petrol engine paired with Toyota Hybrid Electric technology and a CVT automatic transmission. The hybrid system works by combining the petrol engine with electric motors, automatically switching between petrol power, electric power or a combination of both to improve fuel efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. EV Mode allows the vehicle to operate on electric power alone at low speeds and for short distances when battery charge and driving conditions permit. Selectable drive modes and Trail Mode allow you to tailor the driving experience to different conditions, while the hybrid powertrain remains smooth, quiet and easy to drive.
